Facts about horses

Two Nokota horses standing in open grassland with rolling hills and trees visible in the background.

The horse has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature, to the family  Equidae= Horse family. Prezewalsky 26-9-2004-2.JPG

Horses anatomy allows them to make use of speed to escape predators and they have a well-developed sense of balance and a strong fight-or-flight response. Horses are able to sleep both standing up and lying down.  Most domesticated horses begin training under saddle or in harness.Diagram of a horse with some parts labeled.Diagram of a horse skeleton with major parts labeled.Close up of a horse eye, with is dark brown with lashes on the top eyelidA horse's eye.
